WHO WE ARE?

Integrated Community Development Organization is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that assists women and youth to build better lives through social integration, skill development, and useful representation in all aspects of life. ICDO has been founded by individuals that have faced the real challenges of having been discriminated and who have been touched by the success of other members of this group in their professional and social life.

To develop and upgrade the level of the community to more advance standard of living in particular emphasis to most vulnerable

To promote peace building among the communities and build their capacity through different multiple approaches

Improve the living standard of Vulnerable Women and Youth so as Eradicate the extreme poverty and hunger thus Increasing household level income to meet basic needs

Sensitize stakeholders on the eradication of the negative traditional practices including but not limited to Female Genital Mutilation(FGM) across the county by setting piloted precedents

Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education for All

YSEEA

The project aims to consolidate the role of youth workers in promoting youth social entrepreneurship by enriching them with the core knowledge of social entrepreneurship, youth work skills, and particularly the technical know-how to open their relevant courses as a new, innovative, far-reaching way of doing youth work. Simultaneously, YSEEA aspires to develop a new form of youth work methods in the efforts to make its digital shift

Training towards self -employment program

This program seeks to train the women, youth and people living with disability, life skills by training them in the following courses: - Tailoring - Tie & Dye - Saloon and beauty - Small business operation

Advocacy relevant to women empowerment

Advocacy relevant to women empowerment including: - Provision of Vocational Skills Training to unskilled vulnerable Women and youth so as to improve their living standard and uplift them socially and economically - Social integration campaigns addressed at the general public to educate women. - Campaigns targeting the employment organizations and companies to remind them about the rights of women to get employed. - Encouraging building-owners, banks, companies and public service agencies to consider vulnerable women and youth as a priority. - Provision of special accommodation for women in their place of employment.. - Implementation of projects that build the capacities of vulnerable women and youth. - Creation of employment opportunities for women & youth.

To mobilize resources and engage in integrated sustainable development by putting together initiatives that help the local community in attaining social-economic freedom to foster better livelihoods. So as to provide a platform for women and youth to develop the confidence to lead independent, sustainable, social and professional lives through awareness campaigns, education, skill development, advocacy, social integration and employment generation.
